Efficient and effective ice control on bridges and elevated walkways is critical for the safe movement of people and traffice in winter conditions.
The use of corrosive deicers such as salt is not feasible because of the nature of the construction and the potential rapid changes in deck temperature. Liquid deicers are the preferred ice control agent and the Isomex range of liquid deicers are ideal products, offering rapid deicing action with long-lasting anti-icing performance.
Unlike other liquid deicing agents, Isomex deicers do not reduce skid resistance and the low environmental impact associated with the products makes them ideal for use in sensitive areas. Isomex may also be used as a pre-wetting agent with solid deicers, including urea and Cryotech NAACR from Omex.
